Looks like we have some more competition on our hands. Earlier today it was announced by one of our members that a (PS Jailbreak Shipping Delayed)new Jailbreak clone would be hitting the scene very soon. Going by the name "PS3Stinger", it promises not to "sting" you with a high price. An official website is in the works that should be up within the next few days. A twitter page has also been created to help spread the news of the up and coming clone. Although there twitter page has an image of the original PSJB, The announcer Tech1000 states that it's:

I sent in an email earlier today requesting some more information and got the following response:

Hi,

Thanks for the mail, Price depends on quantity 50-100 pieces is Euro35 stock ready to ship around 15th Sept (Pcb's ready next week so maybe a bit sooner). Exactly the same as the jailbreak as its a direct clone. Difference with dealing with us is fast replies and we won't screw our customers on price, Also can do fast overnight shipping via Fedex to the US. Just received word that the PS3stinger will be shipping out stock on Friday/Monday.

Just wanted to let you know we are shipping out Stinger stock on Friday/Monday and will mail some pictures over of the finished pcb's before we ship. We decided not to show hand soldered or unfinished boards as it makes the product look nasty like the others! All the resellers will be able to ship out to the customers next week and we have a great supply of atmega's so no issues with stock over the next month. We will be the cheapest supplier and all stock is from the EU so no customs issues for the sellers.

P.S: For anyone that didn't know, All Systems Go is no longer apart of PS3Stingers development. Hasn't been for quite some time now actually. I was going to add that bit of information to the first post when I first got word of it but, since there was no real progress going on at the time, I decided to wait.

All systems go has requested that I keep the reason confidential. So please, do not ask him for any information regarding this project as he is no longer involved. Thanks.

So based upon that email, one can assume that 1pc is probably going to retail at around Euro50-60, so essentially half the price of the PSJB.

PSJB really need to get their asses into gear if they plan to reap any sort of major benefit out of this one since things seem to be moving relatively quickly now.

I will wait and see. Until they can prove that they're legit I will consider them fake.
Otherwise...maybe it's not so bad that the original modchip is shipping a bit later.

Retail price should be around 49.99EUR, can vary a bit, but it's safe to say it will beat the PS Jailbreak price by a longshot !
