M`k guys, Time to bring the thread back to life.
All MFW hacks and PS3 hacks that were removed from github have found a new home known as githacks which you can access here.
All Activities - git-hacks.com
Kakaroto left the MFW project on Feb 9th As seen here.
KaKaRoTo Leaves PS3MFW Project | ps3mfw.com
Used the one you linked to, It said "Cygwin error blablabalbalbla" So, It was built with it too.
M`k, So, If people are wondering why so many cant get this to work, I believe it could have something to do with signed certificates required for windows 7 64bit.
I am currently running win7 64bit, used 3 differently built versions of MFW builder 0.1, And yes, the keys are properly assigned to their designated folders. But the error presists.
I will now install windows vista on a secondary harddrive and post again with the results shortly to see if it solved the problem.
But for now, It looks like its an exclusive problem to home professional 64bit windows 7.
Thanks buddy so this project lives on?! Oh yeah. Crazy... Have you Created / Installed your own MFW? Can you update me on anything new. When I first read thru this thread, my anxiety levels shot thru the ROOF! Then I got to page 30! And it said the project got the axe. So I starting lookin around and saw that KMEAW and starting considering installing that then I saw your response.
Bottom line, crazy.... thanks for your response champ
Unfortunately no, I have not managed to make a MFW.
Tried on Windows 7 home professional 64 bit.
And just tried on windows vista 32 bit ultimate.
Both times I get this error.
No im not some 13 year old newbie to computers and yes I know how to follow instructions...FATAL ERROR: Could not unpkg file dev_flash_000.tar.aa.2010_11_27_051337 : child process exited abnormally

Error running script: Could not unpkg file dev_flash_000.tar.aa.2010_11_27_051337 : child process exited abnormally
Steps Followed:
Installed ActiveTcl8.5.9.2.294317-win32-ix86-threaded
Installed PS3MFW_0.1-win (One specificly posted by a user claiming that using this one would work since it was not made with cygwin)
Installed an installer posted by ivrysan which puts all the keys in their proper folder. Made SPECIFICLY for people with this problem.
Copied the entire PS3tools toolkit to the PS3MFW builder folder.
Picked an OFW 3.55 downloaded from PlayStation® - PS3 before they removed them
Set the output directory for the MFW to be created on the desktop named PS3UPDAT
========
And well, Resulted in failure, Again.
Despite two seperate operating systems and different files posted by users, Something is still causing it not to find the directory for the keys when it tries to use unpkg.exe
I have used 4 different versions of it, One posted by geohot, One by kakaroto, A rehash of the one posted by FailOverFlow, And the original posted by FailOverflow.
Oh, And one posted in this thread. All with no success.
So....It has to be the MFW builder itself, Or something just isnt kicking.
What I dont understand....Is why nobody has bothered to rar all of their stuff in their working MFW folder, Attach it to a post. And then put it in here to get us all straightened out....The keys have already been attached to 3 different posts in this thread, So I fail to see just whats going on here.
EDIIIIIIITTTTT:
Screw all of what I just said.
Saw this
Tried it.
Worked fine.

I should have mentioned I had this error too. I put all the keys in every key folder that I found and it f*ck@n worked. lol. Pstools needs to be installed into the PSMFW folder, not a sub folder in there.
good luck
Releasing for a good friend who wishes to remain anon.

Easy MFWBuilder Version 0.1
An absolutely foolproof application
Run it
Install to its default directory
Run the shortcut on the desktop
Done!
