I agree, tho am thankful that this was released, normaly i am able to get things working, but not this, just hoping here puts everything in one folder in the correct order and stuff and upload , so all i have to do is click and go
sorry but after 1+ hours of trying, what else can i say

So the packs that i'd been downloading were always missing 2 files.. thats all it was...

[lang=af]Dump the cygwin version. There is a native windows version on the ps3mfw.com site... no cygwin required. ;-)[/lang]

sudo update-alternatives --config tclsh
I just figured the user that I was replying to uses ubuntu so I just used their package search on line it and it listed tcl and tk as 8.4. I didn't even come close to think about looking for tlc8.5. Luckily for me I'm on arch and 8.5.9 is what is in the extras repo.
but thanks for that hopefully with that info that user will be able to use it on his ubuntu install now.

EDIT: NVM they added an installer. Sweet now I just gotta add the keys! Thanks to PS3MFW team!
EDIT2: Guys on windows use the installer. Then just paste in the keys to the directory it makes. Easy as pie! Thanks for the heads up Crash!
Thanks, putting the keys where you suggested worked
good looking on your part

thanks, i did that too earliers tho, thank you tho, just finished my first cfw lol, now i am scared to load it in the ps3 tho lol
how can i test if it is a good build?
Also i used the ofw 3.55 to create the cfw i just did, so that is the way to go correct? meaning i can ditch kmeaw for this one?
i pretty much left every option stock, except for cleaning, where i removed psn and other useless junk.

Finally, thank God. I screwed something up in the beginning before the Windows installer had surfaced, so I removed what I had and ran the repair function, and placed the keys in the ps3keys folder the installer made. When you're not shooting yourself in the foot, it's actually very simple.
