    Aaron has released PS3LOAD!

This program is simple app, to allow loading of SELF's on your PS3 via your wireless or home pc network.

Aaron (aka) AerialX is the developer behind PSL1GHT, an open-source SDK for "homebrew" author's, and this sample program is useful as very good example of how his SDK works, and that it has come a long way, in very short time.

PSL1GHT has come a long way since I started it last week as a temporary stop-gap while waiting on trap15 to work on PS3DK. It's quickly become incredibly feature-filled, and full applications are already possible with it!

The other day, PSL1GHT received network support. Just today, PSL1GHT has received SPRX module linking support. SPRX modules are dynamic libraries already installed on your PS3; they provide functionality like setting up the display, managing the controller, playing audio, etc. We could use some devs to come and help us fill in the headers and stubs so we can use all this, but now that it's possible we can call all sorts of useful functions on the PS3!

As an example I wrote a program called PS3Load.

For those familiar with Wiiload and the Homebrew Channel, PS3Load allows you to run SELF programs over your wireless or wired network! To use it, simply run Wiiload (download) with a .self file, and point it to your PS3's IP address.

PS3Load is included in PSL1GHT's samples, but I've also attached a precompiled self for running directly from app_home, and package has now been attached as well!

For the ultimate fun, ps3load ps3load into ps3load so you can ps3load while you ps3load.

I don't think it's Packaged yet.. this .self file is basically the "eboot.bin" file you find within packaged homebrew...

If I am wrong, someone please clear it up

boy these devs sure love putting misleading titles to their projects/slash news. like wiiload is not going to make people think about wii emulator for the ps3. i guess they really desperate for attention.

I am starting to believe him.

Well the author is Wii developer, and now making cool things for the PS3.

    This program is both.

The Wiiload app, which is part of the "HackMii Installer", runs on your PC, and now with this PS3LOAD program is compatible to launch PS3 selfs from your PC using the WiiLoad app.

    How is that for confusing.

It is shortcut way, why re-do the "wheel" since it turns and works, all he done is make a package (yet to come) that interfaces the PS3 to the same setup that WiiLoad uses to launch ELF's on the Wii.

    So setup is as follows:

    * Grab HackMii from the 'net, unpack it and use/copy only the WIILOAD part!
    * Run the WiiLoad on your PC
    * Assemble the PS3LOAD.self into a Package (or wait until it is done for you!)
    * Install/Run the PS3LOAD app on your PS3!
    * Use Wiiload on your PC, to send and launch your other PS3's selfs!

On a side note, didn't anyone notice the "frost_game.self" on the MOH disc?

Yes Gary, I noticed that. It's probably multiplayer executable of medal of honor.

Software emulation of PS2 is just too much for PS3 hardware to handle, forget about it. It is a loader for older fat models that is still on all firmwares.
