The interesting part about this clone is the claim that it works on earlier firmware revisions in addition to 3.14, which no other clone has claimed to so far.

Hello,
no, there is a misunderstood.
you need to be in 3.41 to hack your PS3.
the website just said if your PS3 is in 3.41 or ealier, it's compatible, like all other clone.
For information, this prototype is sold out now, the final version come in fews week with atmel chip.
All "Nbz" stuff are made in france and assembled my myself.
cheers

It is bad. The teensy 2.0 ++ was £20, the 2.0 was £17 shipped from the USA. You could get more than one shipped in the same package, so if you bought more than one then the price dropped quite a bit.
This hardware will be even cheaper to make, because it can be smaller as it doesn't need any of the I/O pads. Programming takes seconds, so you're paying quite a premium for the case and the fact it's pre-programmed.
The only problem right now is the chips are rare and probably more expensive than normal. If you really must have one then it's cheaper than the teensy's are going for on ebay, but the price will drop as the code is ported to more chips and the demand will drop.

This is interesting to me also as I can't update my console from the firmware it has due to a bad NAND, and have only 2.xx firmware on it.

I think all they're saying is that if you have a firmware lower than 3.41 then you can update to 3.41 and you'll be able to use it. In other words, if you can't or don't want to update to 3.41 you're still out of luck.
