PS3ITA CFW v1.1 Released - Improved PSN access, More Stable, Even PSOne Support!

Following up on their very first and successful CFW release which we covered earlier this month here (PS3ITA CFW v3.55 Released: Allows Full PSN Access!)!

Team PS3ITA has released a much improved version for v3.55 PS3 Console owners, that improves one of the patchs that in turn fixes the 80028F17 error!

CHANGELOG

Version 1.1:
- Changed one patch.
- Fixed error 80028f17 (All PSX games downloaded from the store now work!)
- Improved stability

Version 1.0:
The firmware is based on that of Kmeaw, but have added two small patches that allow you full access to the PSN!

Access is immediate and with no need anymore for a PC to serve as a “broker” using programs like 'charles' or 'f@ckPSN'

As with all CFW releases, you must fully understand all the RISKS that can occur in flashing your PS3 Console, and even tho they claim PSN access, Sony has the full legal right to BAN your PS3 and/or PSN account at any time if you are or HAVE BEEN using any CFW on your PS3 system!

Questions:
How do you install this?
Go to and download official firmware and restore and then install this.

Can I install in directly on the xmb?
It works for some people and not all

Is the a risk of brick?
There is always a possibility.

Do emulators and backup managers work?
It is Kmeaw with some tweaks, so kmeaw supported home brew.

Below is the pre-patched PUP file for PS3ITA 3.55 CFW. You just need to put it on a USB flash drive (x:\PS3\UPDATE\PS3UPDAT.PUP) and flash it on the menu. Facile.

Older Tutorial if you want to patch it yourself

1) Unless you have not already done so, download and flash the firmware on your PS3 3:55 ORIGINAL SONY Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites!

2) Download the patch to create the CFW PS3ita (patch.diff): Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites!

3) Now it's time to patch the firmware 3:55 ORIGINAL SONY.
Is easy to apply, download the following program (CFWPatcher_Installer.exe): Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites!

Install and run it.

Click File on the second button as marked in the image below and select the firmware you downloaded 3:55 ORIGINAL Sony 1 in the guide

Now click the third button on the File and select the folder where you want to save the CFW that will be created

Finally on the fourth button press File, select the patch (patch.diff) and click Execute

4) Wait for the program to finish creating your beautiful custom firmware

what about the naima 3.55/3.60 hibrid cfw?
that looks promissing aswell, since it uses files from 3.60 in it

It looks like PSN + CFW is here to say. There's just so many methods out there. I figured 3.60 would do something but no. And the 'Ban Wave'...It's been almost a month and nothings happened.

You still need to buy the games (re: activate them) in order to play. This just fixes the error when trying to load purchased PSone classics.

I use Ps3ita. It works well from what I see. I don't use backups or play on PSN. I only buy stuff off the store and Netflix. Both work well.

Still haven't figured out why I use CFW. Just waiting for that app like xbmc I guess since jtag never got it.
