PS3 Slim on Kmart Website

Well, I guess the PS3 Slim is confirmed. It's on the Kmart website and Sears website. Look at the right on the link. It will be $299.99 and scroll down to item description to find out what comes with it. (Sorry, there are no pictures of it yet available.)

UPDATE

After the Sony Conference at Gamescom, here is a pic of the PS3 Slim:

It has the same features as the current PS3 Models (That does not have backwards compatibility) but it does not have that piano, gloss finish like the..well..guess you can say "fat" PS3 does.

The PS3 Slim will have a 120GB hard drive, will consume 34% less power and will be 32% smaller. Oh, and the price? $299! That's €299, $299 US, and ¥29,980.

You can also pre-order the slim off of Amazon and many other sites that deal with electronics. The Slim will be shipped to retailers on September 1st, 2009.

Strike (or "spare" to be exact)!

All rumors have been confirmed (except PS2-BC).

-Slim PS3
-Firmware: 3.00
-Price-Drop about 100$/€
-PSN-Cards for Europe
-All PSN-Stuff, which is already available in some countries finally also in EU (+ I heard they introduce a system to also sell 16+ and 18+Games over PSN in Germany.

oh well i might get one anyways because my fat ps3 is overheating and i dont wanna have to take out the mobo to clean the fan >.<

Also, the PS3 Slim does NOT have an Install Other OS feature. That means no Yellow Dog Linux or Ubuntu or any other OS for the Slim. It's been done away with.

Now as for PS2 Backwards Compatibility:

Is backwards compatibility coming back?

Even though it's an ugly little bastard, it is good for those of us who have little shelf space from keeping muliple older gen consoles.

heh. I've only my ps1, ps2, xbox 1.0, and xbox 360. But that goes on a small shelf that I have that my reciever/amp and dvd player sit on as well along with games.

damn wonder it never buckeled under the weight.
