Pink Floyd (not the band) at French site Gueux-forum.net has released PS3 Renamer v1.03 Beta for PlayStation 3 game backups.

PS3 Game Renamer v1.03 Beta Features:

• Scan files backups locally or via FTP to the PS3
• Search the ID and the actual name of the game
• Rename in the following formats:

* GAME ID
* [GAME NAME]
* GAMEID-[GAME NAME] (Perfect Multiman for example)

• Search the update available for your games
• Saves the current state of the names before any changes to be able to navigate so bad manip
• Portable version, 32-bit and 64 bit

PS3 Renamer Version 1.03b Changelog

- Possibility to clean up names
- Interface Config
- Better management of various arborecenses
- Fixed bug
- Multilanguage (french and english, thank you to you if you can give me any other language ...)

Is there an option to translate it into English, as I can't get it to work, but I have no idea why as the error is all in French.

The guys at Gueux always produce great things! Especially on the Original Xbox.

Will keep you guys posted on how it works.. Nobody seems to be taking any interest so I might as well go for it!

I don't see the point. You can rename them in Windows to whatever you like. Multiman recognizes the games no matter what the folders are called.

Just name them properly when you create them in the first place.

The point is, lazyness is always the winner. If you can get something to do the work for you, then why do it yourself? haha

And plus, I don't only want to have titles with no name on it, so having the name auto added for me would be nice. An update manager is always key since we don't have PSN access. I'm sure soon enough there will be something on the console itself to fetch and install the updates!

i believe you just need to edit the CONFIG.ini file, in there is an option
LANGUE=FRANCAIS i suspect if you change that to LANGUE=ENGLISH should do it? id try it but the app doesnt launch for me...

edit: i didnt wait long enough for it to load. this does work for a language change.
