PS3 PKGView BETA 1 Extractor & UnPKG with Source Code released

ifcaro has just released PS3 PKGView BETA 1, right along side naehrwert's release of UnPKG with source code. What are these two individual programs you ask? They are PlayStation 3 PKG file extractors and unpackers.

Here is a roughly translated quote:
PKGView is a file extraction tool to debug PS3 PKG files. This tool 100% legal it contains no code Sony.
PKGView comes with a nice GUI (graphical user interface) that helps simplify the process of extracting individual files or the complete package.

Although it's a very handy tool to have in your PS3 hacking arsenal, it's currently very limited on what it can and can't do. For instance it can only extract individual files and cannot remove folders or create PKG files.

You will also need the Microsoft VC++ Redistributable Package to run UnPKG, linked below.

    Enjoy!

UPDATE: 09/12/10 PkgView BETA 2 Released! (Big thanks go out to komatose for the heads up.)

I'm just trying it with a dynamic theme, but it keeps eating ram and CPU and doing nothing: http://www.ps3news.com/subdomain.php...n&search=theme. Btw on Win7 X64 Ultimate. Maybe I should try it on XP PRO? Or is it normal it takes so long? On another file I just get:

System.OverflowException: De rekenkundige bewerking heeft geresulteerd in een overloop.
    bij k.a(FileStream A_0, Int32 A_1)
    bij k.a(FileStream A_0, String A_1)
    bij b.b(String A_0)
bij System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.RaiseEvent(Obje ct key, EventArgs e)
    bij System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripMenuItem.OnClick(Eve ntArgs e)
    bij System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.HandleClick(Eve ntArgs e)
    bij System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.HandleMouseUp(M ouseEventArgs e)
    bij System.Windows.Forms.ToolStrip.OnMouseUp(MouseEven tArgs mea)
    bij System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripDropDown.OnMouseUp(M ouseEventArgs mea)
    bij System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks)
    bij System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m)
    bij System.Windows.Forms.ToolStrip.WndProc(Message& m)
    bij System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripDropDown.WndProc(Mes sage& m)
    bij System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.W ndProc(Message& m)
bij System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)

With UnPKG I allways get cannot unpack pkg with type blablabla. Does it actually work? I couldn't unpack a single PKG with none of both programs.
