Does this "newer form" of linux.. give full gpu rights to the OS? ie utilize the gpu for playback of videos on vlc etc? If so that wud be even more so incredible than this feat of "unlocking" linux itself.

Well, we've got homebrew and OtherOS ... I guess the answer you'll hear most from "those in the know" now will be; "We're not working on 3.6x because there's no need any longer"

    >_>

No, I mean the only reason the big hackers/coders started work was to return OtherOS. Any question of backups was always met with a resounding "Screw you" - and since OtherOS is back now, the only reason to keep working on 3.6+ would be backups.

Math or KaKaRoToKS could bring linux months ago,Math has dualboot for a while,so no,I think they'll keep working on ps3 as long as they interested in it.

    Help me understand...

What is Linux on the PS3 good for?

What was the original purpose that Sony advertised for Linux on there Ps3?

    Thanks!
