It might just be a modchip, that injects a code, would only be a matter of time before something is released. and it looks like it will head into someone releasing a tool that is soldered to the M/B, similar to a jtag hack

Well geohot claims he worked out the metldr key using a calculator or something along those lines. Seems a lot similar then everyone elses approach. Is is a possibility geohotz doesn't actually know the metldr keys? or would he have needed them to generate the private keys he made for 3.55?

there wont be the need to downgrade, would seem pointless if this theory works.
