ok got some games to work but they are very slow you have to turn the sound off to make the game go faster.you also have to press the movement buttons left right up down any way dose not matter to get of the ok screen before the rom loads.

  3. #13 Question MAME works great - what about controls??

Having the latest Messiah Magic-II modchip installed, all that I needed to do was to copy the files over to the build window in Nero (roms folder filled with 30, and gameslist.txt edited to reflect all 30) and it worked like a charm. Can't wait for the next rev that 'someone' takes on for this; it will be nice to have reset to mame menu, and other config options.

One question I have is... has anyone had support with the analog sticks on the dualshock?? MAME does nto recognize these, and I figure ots because of a bare bones port. (albeit sweet!)

TIMEPLT, ASSAULT, and ROBOTRON just don't work well with the joypad..

mame32 is a windows version of mame (Dos), so I assume other than the interface (and other options and stuff) the actual emulator is the same. If you go to the Mame32 homepage and go back through the news archive you can find the version of mame32 that's the same as the mame that psmame is ported from (ie mame 0.37b16).
I think mame jumped version numbers from 0.37b16 to 0.53 and then continued up to the version it's at now, so it's not as old as it seems. (about 9 versions behind the latest)
