Pixel has released ps2packer 0.4.4 and ps2packer 0.4.4 lite today. Changes to 0.4.4 include reload option, and used branches instead of jumps in the asm stubs. The lite version is a single executable with just n2e stub. Download the attachments below.

Either one will work the same. The only difference is you can't choose your packer with the lite version (that is, it has less options, and no files around)

This update is mostly done for people experiencing problems with ps2-packer not reading files in path correctly. And also to solve some very very specific packing issues, especially when dealing with relocation.

Anyway, this version doesn't compress better or anything than the previous one. If you are not using ps2-packer inside a tool you are building, that's not really an update you should take care of

I was targetting this release for people using ps2-packer inside another tool, such as that hdl-edit (or something).

thats this command work on ps2-packer:

    "ps2-packer unpack.elf pack.elf"
for normal compression of a elf...?
i realize on some elf's- some files loads fast and other dont...
is this the effect of how u pack elfs..?
    how u can resolve it..?

pixel thank you for this great tool
    happy new year

    http://www.oberhumer.com/opensource/ucl/#speed

Unlike others, the UCL library has a blazing fast decompression algorithm. The speed overhead caused by the decompression in the default hand optimized ucl-n2e unpacker shouldn't even be noticable by a human on a system as fast as a PS2. Slowness that is to be experienced is due to bad medias, or bad code...
