It would be nice if someone could add some visualizations while the music plays!
Thanks N£TM£ÇH
Great news indeed. OPEN SOURCE will always be the best. Look at Linux vs WindowsBut now i am afraid ppl like those who "o w n z" will take the sources and tell ppl to "donate" so they release the best mp3 player for PS2. I just hope they woulnd't

they already ripped the news from ps2-scene. I hope that if G and X are planning any legal action they do it quick!
How the hell can you "rip" news?? It's in the public domain and does not belong to anyone!! Merely because one site posts it first, does not give the any exclusive right in the news, so anybody is allowed to re-post at will. I've never understood this ****ing lame ass flame war with **** and how they "rip" news from other sites. You don't want the news to spread, then don't ****ing post it on the 'net - problem solved. News is not proprietery, it's not property, you have no exclusive right in it, sorry.Originally Posted by agentboolen
For example - say CNN breaks a story about XYZ. They were the first ones to get it, so that's great. But you know what, Fox News, MSNBC, et. al. will all rush out, grab the same story, make some slight modifications to it, and run the same exact story. Do you get pissed off at MSNBC, and call them "f4g5" or whatever? No, you're glad the news is being spread.
Ugh, and "legal action" - please. I'm not even gonna dignify that with a response. The only legal case that even remotely comes close is AP v. INS and can be found here
**** may rip apps and other work from people, but please don't bitch and moan when they re-post news.
*Edit* Sorry for the tirade there - just sorta hit a sore spot.

I have to agree... Especially since they stopped beeing bitches when newsing since not so long ago. I still don't like them, but, we have to note that. And it's not really useful to heat things up for no reason.
Now, if legal action has to be taken, it's not about "news ripping", but rather about "defamation", which is quite something else.
Maybe getting back on topic now should be a good idea.
your both wrong. It's one thing to find news and give the proper credits to where its found. That's done all over the internet at even the biggest websites. Plagerizing news word for word and editing credits is another story. You two should really know what your talking about before you say anything most importantly when it has to do with ps2moanz.
They aren't even part of this site anymore, so I doubt they will do anything about it. Not that they would anyway, since it has been going on forever.Originally Posted by agentboolen
Let me put it into perspective for you guys, then this line of discussion drops.
When you pull news from someplace, you credit the source. Even when CNN posts something from the AP, the Associated Press always gets creditted for it. Now when is it too far? When they rip both the news post with no credits, plus the source for the app.....hax0r it with their own shit, and repost it on their own site. I can tell you this much. the PVCS logo was made by someone here. Take a look at their little "Emulators" sidebar. All their hax0r'd shit is linked as a direct download from their site, instead of linking to where the original site was......hosted with Scene.
Sure they credit the author, but do they link to where the original file was posted by the author....no. Do they link to the author's homepage....no. Everypost I've made since taking over....the most important thing has always been to CREDIT your source...be it forum members that let you know, or author's that post it elsewhere first. There wouldn't even be that much of a stink if they creditted us. I've had requests from other web sites if it was ok to use our news posting on their site.
You want to know what else is lame....we don't need to "adjust" our posting time to seem like we posted it first. They've been getting so desperate for news, they've had to rip news and images from Impress Game Watch, IGN, as well as our site to fill their void.
Yes, this shit has been going on forever, but believe me, if you guys were in either X's G's, or even my shoes.....you'll get jaded pretty easily.
Enough of my rant. I'm even beginning to wonder why I agreed to bring this place back up.![]()
