PS Jailbreak Shipping Delayed

A shortage of components has forced the delay of the product's launch. There is no longer an official date for shipping to begin but the delay is expected to be anywhere from 3 days to as long as a week.

Retailers will not be receiving their shipment of PS Jailbreak dongles on Friday as scheduled. Anyone telling you otherwise is either misinformed or disingenuous.

And, remember, you read it on PSX-SCENE first.

It’s not that surprising to be honest. my guess is that the device isn’t truly secure and can be cloned and mass produced relatively quickly, they will hold off to produce a much larger batch of product for their first shipment to garner as much money as possible before the clones hit the money and start cannibalizing their sales.

My thoughts exactly, if it really was just sold out then they would send on first come first serve.

I doubt that they'll send them within the week either, they'll hold out aslong as lots of preorders are still coming in because they know assoon as they're in our hands they'll be cloned pretty quickly.

Well if that's the case they should already be cloned as samples have been out for a few days now. They better not mess around and wait too long or else someone will steal their thunder.

Saw this coming a mile away! And had the feeling the other day there would be a delay post regarding it sooner or later somewhere ... I ordered mine last week through Ozmod and will expect another long delay like when the WODE was supposed to come out.... Oh well the waiting game begins.

Well this is lame. Had one preordered via ozmod thinking they would be able to pull off something awesome considering how they were highlighting they were the first guys to get a ps jailbreak hence the first ones to get stock.

Turns out they're just the same as everyone else. Having to wait till next week, (ozmods quoting as long as next Friday)

Regretting preordering now, especially if the clones turn out to be working. Warranty and support? To what extent?

a 15% cancellation fee applies on cancelling preorders but you could stand to save big bucks if the clone turns out legit. If the jailbreak guys stuck with their original ETA it wouldnt be an issue, but this leaves me more than a bit annoyed.
