Kimster, I'll be recieving my sample on Wednesday so I'll be able to test this out myself then, but in the meantime, I'd really appreciate it if you could rip a game to and external HDD and make a video of the game booting up to show how it performs over USB.

Im interested in if the HD RPM does affect the games loading time, i have the original 60gb in mine, so if i buy a faster one like 7200, will the game load faster or it doesn't matter? cuz there is quite a price difference between 5400 and 7200 HD.

When PS Jailbreak was first announced we were all told that www.shoppsjailbreak.com was a fake site and not to buy from them, 3 or 4 days later they now appear as an official distributor what’s going on? Is the site fake or is it real? It looks bad that a FAKE site is now a distributor.

They haven't and they won't. The most they will do is release a new PS3 update.

sony has declined to make any comments at this point in time according to another news source. I still follow the belief that sony put this out there themselves as everything is still run using sonys code. That why this is not a true hack just a clone of a jig stick.

whether shoppsjailbreak is a legit distributor has yet to be determined as the only people that can have them shipped to is canada for the time being and most canadians are ordering form modcentral

i still dont know why u decided to ass teh comment ozmods was teh first to get the dongle and test it? that just plain doesnt fit anywhere with any statement and shows how stupid you are for not being able to intepret a few sentences. you dont see anybody else quoting and calling me liar as they know how to read. as i never claimed i had a stick only that i would try to become a distributor as there is no true usdistributor for the time being. As i run my own electronics business which is small now but it does various things from fixing pcs/ to hacking wiis/psp stuff that normal people dont do for fear of messing up their systems.

If i have enough people that want to buy this ill compile a list try to be listed as a distributor and get of my ass and finally make my website which i have be too lazy to do for the past 2 years as im still a full time college student.

anyway shoppsjailbreak will be listed in the grey area until someone who orders from there can comfirm with pictures/video the validitiy of the site.

Sony obviously had something to do with the code and the inner workings in the sense its been copied from a legit sony device, but to imply that sony had anything to do with it other than what I have already said is borderline retarded.

and the flame wars begin lol jsut cuase a company seem slegit on the surface deosnt mean that they dont deal with underminded deals and schemes all on their own.

as to the quesiton posed by a device that had be locked up tighter than fort knox for the majority of the consoles life to just show up mass produced already and with such a high price tag seem like something under minded any company would do if they held the key to something that would be almost as great as sliced bread.

Sony if every thing would seem to benefit from this device the most.
AS:
1. will sell tons of consoles
2 the device itself is high priced way higher then any other mod chip currently out on the market for any system means someone has a bottom line to reach
3 the come out with a new firmware patch that blocks it nips the problem right in the butt and most people are out 130 bucks
4 even is this wasnt a plan created by sony they have their hands in it as the manufactuer is in china and we all know big name comapanies use the cheap chinese child labor to there advantage.(only microsoft had been caught in the act so far)
5 the device as of right now still needs the original disc to rip and run updates i.e. you and your freinds will have one copy of each game that will float around so that you can update your games when ever u need to.
6. even if sony cant block everything with a firware update all they have to do is a patch that blocks you from playstation nertwork if it senses your console in debug mode.
7 if all else fails they make rewrite the bios of the ps3 with a firmware update makign the usb boot impossible
8 or if that is impossible for them to do they will make hardware revision that blocks the donglelike what they did with teh psp to stop pandora.

this is not a true hack just a clone of a sony jig
so either they placed so much faith in their own software that its hard for them to block their own code or if they were smart they woudl make it so they could modify their own systems code easily and still have access to bricked units. time will tell
