This is indeed a valid point.
Now if you want to do custom configurations , homebrew, or just want to store things somewhere else, build the dev version of the payload.
Now this effectively throws existing user base out of the boat. How could this be acceptable? And with the "simple flag in the build process" you're effectively creating yet another hex, don't we have enough of them?
For "good things" to become de facto standard, there should be some transition with backward compatible hex available. Or it will be like Dvorak or Esperanto, great, absolutely superior, but nobody is using 'em. (and that's assuming PL3 is superior, which I am not convinced of)
With asbestos loader released as Hermes's package followed by yet another shot of drama from KKRT, it will hit PL3 in the first place, again.
I wish somebody wiser than KKRT, with good manners, would take over this project and turn it away from "vs Hermes" course into something more constructive.

there is no drama except what some people keep making of it
I just hope the dev payload of pl3 is fixed soon so I can rebuild my system asap

It's a cliche but in this case good programmer and good social skills are once again mutually exclusive. It's a pity and I hope PL3 doesn't fail because of it.

If the game is already on your internal, move it to your external via Gaia or any other manager that supports splitting files over 4gb. Once on your external, go into the folder with the split files and delete them. After you've done that, rename the main game folder so it doesn't have a _ in front of it (the _ signifies that there is split files in the title and not to play it off of external). Once you've done that, open up your manager again and play the game.
