I had it laying on my PC for a long now, so I decided to finish it for the start of this new year and to share it with you. So here is my port/adaptation of the PANG remake by michel louvet

    Binary here

    Sources here

This is a first release based on the 1.0 version, so be kind (untested on NTSC machine), I hope you'll enjoy

    Evilo & the Froggies.

[EDIT] New version available that correct a couple of bugs (protection bonus not working, ...). Above links are updated as well.

    Cool evilo.

I can make a custom PS2 cover for you, but i can't find a decent PANG cover scan on the net. PM me if you have one.

    And thanks for the release.

PS: Forgot to ask. Does it create a save file for High-scores? If yes, the file has an icon? I sent some icons for gawd. If you also want an icon for PANG, let me know.

Btw, hit me up on irc, I have some unrelated bug reports for you...

ZakSpeed: Do you happen to make 3D icons or just 2D?

Well, i do the 128x128 24bit BMP icon. The website www.ps2savetools.com has some appz that make this BMP icon a 3d square, a flat square or a flat retangle.

Want a icon for Duck Hunt? I was planning on doing a custom cover, an icon wouldn't be difficult

EDITED: I asked James, creator of Geotron, how he managed to create a save icon for Geotron. Here's what he told me:

Geotron creates the save directory "GEOTRON" and the .ico and .sys files automatically if it does not find them on the memory card.

You'll need BMP2ICON to convert the .BMP to a .ICO file. Then MCICON.SYS Generator to create the ICON.SYS file. More info here: http://ps2dev.org/ps2/Tools

ZakSpeed: Ah, I had a feeling you were just making those 2d icons.. The tools you mention to create the icons from a BMP have been on ps2dev.org for a long time.
Like you said, creating the icons that way is pretty easy. I already have the graphics I'd use for it if/when I get to the point of having a saved high score table, it's just a matter of actually creating the files, and I have a lot of other things that are more important than a high score file (like getting everything needed for scoring working...)

really cool release, thanks evilo !

i just saw a little bug when using cross buttons, the character can get "stuck" wheras the thumbsticks work perfect !
i remember that the port of xrick had the same problem.
