For those mentioning the modchip and HDLoader, might I suggest just stripping the parts out of the HDD module to suit a CompactFlash cartridge? CF uses an IDE interface anyway... the problem of course, is that the largest size is the 8GB microdrive... but in the future with NAND prices falling like rain, 20GB flash cards are only a year away... Or even just using a 1.8inch iPod size hard disk... Anyway, provided you use a modchip that could store an ELF, you could make the CD-Rom an external add-on, thus saving a whole lot of weight...
A man can dream, can't he...?
that thing is pretty damn sweet, getting everything to fit, the case looks like it was made proffessionally..if the PSP wasn't around it would be a lot easier to admire this thing hehe

The ps2 has games that are worthwhile unlike the psp so this would be really good if you get rid of the dvd-rom and put a modchip along with a 100gb microdrive in it. The size could then be reduced even further along with the energy usage and would almost be better then the psp. (The psp has a lot more homebrew then the ps2)
