Somewhat offtopic, but... couldn't the news post get trimmed in the front page like they used to be? It's really obnoxious to scroll down half the page because they quoted the entirety of a huge post.
Yeah, there is setting in "Vbadvanced to auto-trim" a long article to X number of words, normally around 1,500 is good, anything longer, then the system displays a [READ MORE.......] link at the bottom of the post, which redirects you to the full un-cut length of the whole post along with the thread replies (if any yet).

Anything I can do, or wait and tell the admins?

WTF are you talking about? Orb has worked on all systems for years. Its a web based thing. Always was. Just because its going to disc form proves nothing. It worked on Wii, it worked on ps3 both for years. It's always been free too. Unless your saying you need to actually spend money for it now? I think that makes no sense since the service was always free back when I used it. But Orb never had tv shows or anything, Orb use to be just a Desktop to system software thing where you can like view stuff from your computer on your tv through whatever system. Like if you got a movie file you could watch it from Orb on your ps3 or Wii or whatever through the website thing. And it was easy to setup. That is what Orb use to be or at least when I used it.

I am sure there will be other means to acquire this orb disc just like other discs you acquire information from so what the hell are people crying about anyway. As it has already been stated this has only been posted for a short while and there will be ways to get this to work soon enough without having to spend your paycheck on it. ROFL
More info –
I'm from Orb, checking out what kinda press we're getting so far (not that much apparently) and I feel like maybe some clearer info won't be bad
So the way Orb works is :
- Free Orb server(s) to install on machines where you have your media. It does DNLA so from here you can already stream on your ps3 or any other DNLA.
- Free website to stream your media from anywhere using a web enabled device/pc.
- 10$ smartphone apps (Android's left behind for now but the new version is about to hit the market) to stream on your phone over wifi or phone networks.
- 79$/99$ devices to stream stuff directly on to your hifi/tv
- 19$ BluRay discs to do the same on ps3. We had to split with other BluRay players because some are sloppier and need optimisation. Coming up next.
- FREE apps to pick what you stream on the paying devices from your couch (on iPhone / Android) or from your computer.
As for the internet content (not personal), we have FREE built-in plug-ins streaming Hulu, Hulu +, Netflix, Pandora, Sirius, Amazon, Youtube, Flickr, facebook pictures... Basically trying to do everything, and also released the api for people to add whatever they want (not completely sure we gone public on that yet but I think so).
One nice advantage if you have Hulu+ should be that this would get you around all the ridiculous licensing limitations for their content. I signed up for the Hulu+ trial to check out the official PS3 app, only to discover that about 2/3rds of my subscriptions were "PC only" and could not be streamed.
juz noticed that u guys r runnin beta, I have PS3, can you include me?
Thanks for the update banzzai ! So basically, it is like buying an expensive Apple TV, or WD TV, or GoogleTV, etc, etc, to use with your Playstation 3 with alot more feautures for only $20! And then some
