I'm assuming this is the same 'Orb' that used to come bundled with Winamp.
It's pretty much garbage based on my experience with it - Tversity or PS3 Media Server do a better job (for free).
If my memory serves me, this uses the same ports as Skype, so you can't have both running at once, which is ridiculous.
TL;DR - Install PS3 Media Server or TVersity and pass on this.
PS: I hope this isn't a sign of things to come here, this sure isn't scene related news.
Cut the homophobic slurs or warnings will be handed out.

If you have something constructive to offer there is actually a place for it at the bottom of the list of topics: Site Issues/Suggestions. Funny I don't see alot there, just whining in the other threads. If they don't respond to useful suggestions or valid criticisms, then you can whine. If anything ever threatened to hurt this site, it was all the whiners and flamers and trolls, difficult for the mods to keep up with.
I can confirm that this site is not gay. Come on, just look at the color scheme.
I can't imagine it would need PSN as you're only streaming across a LAN.

The cost is clearly displayed on their page.
The reasons people are complaining are:
- This isn't news
- There are free alternatives that work better
- The news section isn't a place for ads and gimmicks, it's for scene news.
(perhaps under the new management this has changed, which would be sad for all of us)
There's currently no service that allows you to stream Hulu/ESPN/etc for free. Even TVersity requires you to buy the $40 pro license to get that feature. PS3 Media server doesn't allow you to get hulu etc either.

Hell, before I built my current media-server, I had a P4 with 2GB of RAM running Tversity, and it worked just fine. Perhaps you need to tweak your settings a bit?
