When Bushing announced this great project back a month ago to raise $17,500 to build an Open-Source USB Protocol Analyzer, we decided to jump on-board right away as a major backer of this project as it will be very useful for more future PS3 digging around since it seems alot can be done via the USB port as we have so far see when the first original PSJailbreak dongle was released only 4 months ago!

OpenVizsla is a project to design a device that will allow the capture and inspection of USB traffic that will help with the reverse engineering and debugging of proprietary USB devices, and will also be an invaluable tool for developers working with USB and especially those who are using USB in embedded designs. The project is created by bushing and pytey of Team Twiizers and iPhone DevTeam fame.

So we are looking forward to all the amazing things that will be possible to do with this new cool piece of software and hardware, and can't wait to see the first test development PCBoard, and we here at PSX-SCENE wish the OpenVizsla project team a very Happy Holidays and of course must thank the other 583 backers that made this project possible!

Very cool. I am glad to see people backing the scene. This could advance the "jailbreak" scene quite a few light years. Maybe we will be able to keep up wtih sony, see the errors caused by using a dongle on newer fw,and even reverse future jig keys.
