Can i use this to copy backups from pc to the ps3? I have tried blackbox and multiman but all the backups result in a black screen at boot. So far I have hd to transfer files on a 4 gig usb stick a little at a time. Sux but it does work. Also if this does work which mode do i need to use? Passive or active?

Is it possible that you are trying to play a game with a patched eboot? What CFW are you running? If the games are indeed not patched, try Rogero Manager/Rogue Warrior (same thing). The more details you leave regarding your issue -- version numbers and so forth -- the higher the likelihood of a helpful answer you will find. ~ Yoda

Edit: I have decided to add comment or two. This version seems to work much better (obviously). For all that may be asking "Does it work better? Does it still mess up after like 10 minutes?" and so on. The answers are: yes, it works better; And no, as stated by the dev, PASV is no longer a problem. The transfer rate seems pretty good as well. If there were a way to bypass some of the network overhead that would be nice, but I think this is about as fast we are going to get. Great Job! I cant wait for newer, improved versions of this...displaying the IP of the PS3 would be nice for some. But ping sweeps and nmap work for me. Wow, huge edit!

use gaia mangers ftp very very stable!! copied many games over to ps3 successfully
