Off Topic: Pope John Paul II, may he rest in peace.

Completely off-topic, but it has to be mentioned that the world has lost a great influential person of this century with the passing of Pope John Paul II.

Regardless of Race or Religion, you can at least respect his strength in his beliefs and the changes he helped facilitate in this world for the better part of this century.

He will be sorely missed.

I respect him deeply as a man of peace. Helping bring down communism in Eastern Europe and the facist governments in South America. God Bless him.

Although as a protestant I am fundementaly in disagreement with the entire concept of the Catholic Church, I shall pray for him.

Although I'm not Catholic, I still respect[ed] him greatly. He was one of the few good people left on this planet with any power. He is in a better place now.

Yep I do respect his power and rights. I am part catholic part Lutheran though I was baptized a catholic. He did a lot of good things in this world. He did have a lot of problems. I do agree that he is in a better place. We will miss him greatly.

Yeah I have alot of respect for him as well. I'm not too fond of the catholic church. But I have alot of respect for him as a person. I also support the republic party here in US and he and raygon did work on bring down communism. Which was really good. Our current president didn't agree or take his advice. But that happens. He will be missed and I'm sure he is in a better place now.

As an agnostic, i don't agree with christianity or any spawn there of, however his advances in world peace, his close ties with the UN & anti war sentiment will be sorely missed.
