I totally agree with Poppa. I used to enjoy playing C&C on my pc as well as a couple other games online, but ps2 just isn't that great online anyways. The games that SHOULD BE online really aren't.
All sports games anymore are basically online...Sports games are boring anymore
Most racing games...Every single racing game is the exact same shit except for Burnout 3...I love this game, and it's what I'd call pretty innovative. GT3, and the upcoming GT4 aren't what I'd call innovative. Simply racing.....
SM vs Raw is a good idea to put online IMO though as some people tire of playing against AI. Smackdown 5 all I had fun was whenever I put the competition on the "Smackdown" difficulty, and that was about the only challenge I ever really got.
I haven't played a ps2 game online since trying out My Street, and my demo disc of EQ. Online is to time consuming for me anymore, and once you seen what you done all the time you played online..Nothing really.
The only game I would tryout online probably is if they make a Dynasty Warriors online...Which they definitely should. Game has a lot of potential for online since there's thousands of warriors battling. So many things they could do with it.
Its a sad thing to hear GT4 is not gonna be online. I was looking forward to it, but poppa is right the retards eventually ruin it
well this is all I wanted in the new GT4
so I won't buy, maybe I'll make a backup of my mate's if he buys it
I hope this online version is really comming out in 2005 because I will buy that one
Sony are just corporate marketing sluts. They wanted product on the shelf for the Christmas market, and decided to can the major feature they had been promoting, just so they can sell it to sucker Joe Public.
I say don't waste your money, rent it, copy it and wait for the "real" release with online play. But I reckon, it's now not gonna happen on PS2, I reckon it's going to be put off until PS3... (soften the blow by making 2 seperate announcements 6 months apart, rather than 1 single announcement saying no online, wait for GT5-PS3)

The online mode feels more realistic, I made people Tap out...... and you can use any strategy you want.
I suck at GT3, I mean its my first and favorite simulator. But if GT4 will be online I will be the one at the last position in every race.
