MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL
I'm waiting for the modchips that support this PSX.
for $900 you could be a top end DVD player, PS2, PSONE and a computer with a dvd writer in :O Your paying for the name in the end and personally i wouldnt bother with it for that price
well.. considering Sony is marketing this as a home electronics device and NOT a console...
you get TiVO functions (recording shows, time shifting).. a big HDD, and a 12x DVD burner.. also coupled with the ability to play Ps2/Ps1 games..
quite a good deal if you have the money to fork over..
mercruiser: understand the product before you call it lame and useless.
Yes, it is a overpriced tivo. If you have a PS2 already there is no reason to buy such expensive tivo. I bet even cheap DVD players from Nintaus kicks the ass out of this DVD player.
edit: Ok, my comments are a bit too rough sometimes, but you don´t really get what you pay for to be honest. 12x burning sounds cool though.
I dont know when i think PS2 and Sony i think CHEAP LASER!
Cheap laser?.. actually.. there aren't really laser problems.. just calibration imo..
sure.. if you have a ps2 you might not want the TiVO.. but there are older folks that just want a all-in-one set top box.. and the PSX gives you that option..
sleek design.. looks cool.. but not for me
i still think its VERY sly how they came up with the name PSX...
DAMN! There is a 200 USD difference between the 160 and the 250 gb version! Thats typically lame SONY. Probably these drives are locked and have a special formware so you can´t use any HDD you want. **** you SONY!!
