Has any1 noticed some of these don't work????I got a batch of 20,& half are no good......the sympton is the ps2 won't turn on from 'standby',but switches on from eject & works perfectly...unless u want to play psx games.
After tearing my hair out,I found out why.....the resistor on the reset line is meant to be 33kohm,but some have 10k by mistake.....maybe u guys can make this a 'sticky' if it hasn't been mentioned???

All the M2 1.33b's that I have they use the 10k resistor I have installed 3 from this batch and ALL are working with no problems. So many peeps bash the M2 but the thing I like the most it works on v1-10 NO OTHER CHIP that I know has this capacity. Only one chip to stock. You don't need 2 or 3 different chips to get the full coverage.

Then why do some have a 33K resistor on the RESET point & the ones that won't power-up from standby are 10K???Are powering up using reset or eject???It powers up ok from eject

i'm having problems with my messiah 1.33b in my v10 50001. It will turn on but I will only get a black screen no main menu. What could be the problem? Do I have to use those points on the other side of the board B C D E..... or can they be soldered to the sony computer interactive chip on the top?

look the point bcdefghi maby you are cut any line, look all the fuses , end the bios points.
for that i instal the wires only in vias.

Sorry for the late response, but reading Tickfords comments reminded me that i had a v10 with M2 that wouldn't turn on from the eject button, only from the standby button, which seems to be opposite of Tickfords findings.
It was my first V10 and appeared to work fine otherwise.
Done plenty of V9 with no probs.
Doing another V10 on monday, and will check the resistor values on all the M2s i have out of interest.
