Please, REGION 4 IS FOR LATIN AMERICA NOT PAL!
The best solution will be the "turn off M2 device".

SOLIDSNAKE,
I live in Australia and dvds are region 4 PAL
I don't know why you think it is NTSC
Well thats news for me but for what I know for latin america or south america to b exact, REGION 4 is the region designed for it. You know it has the close caption translations and spanish and everything.
Anyway dvd region x and gamshark arent working with messiah2, dor dvdregion x again it desont ave any more "upgrade" codes on their lousy website and they dont have any way to contact them which i think is stupid and unserious with customers. Adn on the other hand gameshark is under new management so those dudes dont know shit about it now. See what I mean?
So if you can throw light on the subject i will be welcome.
:)
if your ps2 is not playing in region dvd,or freezing few seconds after playing,i seen it 1 before check points d,e,f
SHIT!!!
Thats ****in bad for one of the mest modchips. I guess I wont watse my time trying to make it work! Wut this issue mars chip has eh advantage over messiah, cause it boots dvd movies with the dvd region x even if its a back up, you dont need the original to boot al dvd region movies. Thats a notorious lowdowm on the messiah2 pcb.
Can someon tell me if the dvd movies region free of the DMS3 is working well? I mean it boots movies from all regions?
Thank you
PD: im buying these on bulk and I gotta make sure.. if you know what i mean...
Correct, just because the DVD part I'm thinking to go for DMS3 in near future.
Let see if will be possible to include a M2 turn off + macromod in a single 12C508A PIC.
If not, I'll give up of M2.
Note: ALL region 4 here are NTSC.

Just face it , messiah 2 doesnt work with the back up of dvd region x for dvd movies, you have to have the original and turn the modchip off thing thats is not too comfortable for the userers that im looking the dvd movie stuff, same with gameshark , you know personally i dont mind that for me, cause I think messiah its GREAT! but with that lowdown where im located MARS chip has the advantage and MESSIAH is getting behind, and DMS3 will be over MESSIAH 2, but customers and people had been dissaponted with the dvd movies issue, causing trouble on sales and stuff, you as a vendor should know such thing and what that means . Team messiah just have to make another new batch of messiah to solve the problem, and believe me people just cant always be buying each nbew chip that pops up around in the market and unisntalled the old one and do teh same thing on and on and on.
Personally I dont want to sell MARS, cause I really dont like to sell the same thing competition has. I really like MESSIAH, bu the issue is the isse, and here we have REGION 4 ntsc movies, not PAL australian region 4 (does it even exist? if it does didnt know), thats the bottom line.
,
If wecxan talk about this more directly, try to get on the messenger sometimes and we can talk about all this.
:headbang:
The definition of Regions doesnt necessarily mean one country.
For example, I live in the European / UK definition which is region 2, but Japan is also region 2, the difference being Japan is NTSC and Europe UK is PAL.
Here is a breakdown of the regions in full:
REGION 1 -- USA, Canada
REGION 2 -- Japan, Europe, South Africa, Middle East, Greenland
REGION 3 -- S.Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Parts of South East Asia
REGION 4 -- Australia, New Zealand, Latin America (including Mexico)
REGION 5 -- Eastern Europe, Russia, India, Africa
REGION 6 -- China
REGION 0 or REGION ALL
To be honest, if your a DVD buff or for whatever reason you need to play different region DVD's, get yourself a DMS3, messing about swapping disks via a Messiah 2 'fixed' for Region-X etc. is a lame-ass way about things !
The sensible way is a modchip designed for the job !
