The New Low In The Scene: Modders Sueing Modders!

Ladies and Gentlemen. I bring you the new low of the low in the scene today!
Apparently some idiot feels he has a legitimate trademark to the term "mod chip". This poor fellow really needs to dig into some internet archives to learn the true meaning of mod chip and where the actual term came from. Here is an small clip of the original post by B2kmods.

With the recent court decision ruling modchips legal in Australia, i was surprised to recieve a letter in the mail today from my biggest competitor, no not Sony but a fellow modder. A FELLOW MODDER...This particular shop has decided that the term "mods" and "mod chips" are "trademarks" of his & that by myself & others using the word "mod" or "mod chip" that these terms are the same or decipitivly similar to his trading name.

I urge everyone to show their support for B2kmods and his inevitable court venture. If he or anyone else manages to post the name or website of the person in question i also urge everyone to boycott this company and show him this kind of crap will not be tolerated in the scene. that last court case was held in the high court, so it can't be appealed, as there's no court higher than that.
otherwise we'd have endless cases being appealed forever.
edit: however, it's only case law, setting a precedent. so there's nothing to stop the politicians going and making it illegal through legislation.

back on topic, i reckon it's a load of crap. he's gotta be bluffing. good thing no one has posted the competitors name or site here, as it looks to me like some kind of stupid publicity stunt.

i must point out that im not the only one who got issued this letter, i know at least another four modders (many large'ish businesses) have also recieved the same letter...
