Mount Alejandro App Released to Write to Dev_Flash

JaiCraB and ps3mrenigma have released an app that gets us one step closer to custom firmware. Their app, entitled Mount Alejandro, enables writing to the dev_flash, by mirroring dev_flash to dev_alejandro and making dev_alejandro the active one. As everyone should know by now, dev_flash are where your console's firmware files are stored after installation. Please use caution when using this app since it deals with your PS3's flash.

Esta aplicacion permite el montado de la unidad /dev_Alejandro.
Esta unidad es un espejo de la unidad /dev_flash, estando esta activa igualmente.

La unidad /dev_flash carece de permisos de escritura, util para leer como se hacia antiguamente, sin embargo la nueva, SI tiene permisos de escritura.

Es por ello, que no nos hacemos responsables del mal uso que se pueda dar a esta aplicacion, al metodo usado, etc.

Como usuarios finales SOIS RESPONSABLES DEL USO QUE HAGAIS DE DICHO PROGRAMA EN VUESTRAS MAQUINAS!

Tenerlo en cuenta antes de querer manipular el firmware, archivos XML, etc.

correct me if I'm wrong but don't the individual files in dev_flash need to be signed in order to be executed on the PS3? Don't really see where this is useful at this point in time.

Shawncarnage, Are you really responding to this post just to say your the first to reply? Really? Come on now, I have to see that crap plenty of other places, keep it out of here.

As to the actual thread, I was quite surprised to see this releases qo quickly. I know there were already developers using different methods to write to dev_flash, but nothing as simple as this. Props to the authors of this, wonderful ontribution.

houses and buildings just don't appear. Plans have to be drawn up. foundations have to be laid. walls have to be framed. drywall has to be put up. plumbing and electrical need to be installed. roofs have to be put on. and then even though you might have a structure you need to do tons of cosmetic stuff and add appliances. then once the necessities are in place you can add creature comforts. like a couch and a tv.

i my self have no ****ing clue what 80% of the shit on this site is for but is is so aggravating to have to read post like i don't see what good this is.
if you do not like or understand shut you ****ing mouth and just read and watch the people that do know what they are doing do it.

Sorry for the lengthy analogy but it is all i had. for the retarded people shit needs to be done in a certain order and a good foundation is the key to success. and ideas make the world go around.
