Modchips Ruled Legal Once Again In Italy!

Oscar of www.hardstore.com sends some news im rather late on. Sony once again has been dealt a serious blow in their fight against modchips. Their appeal of the Italian courts primary ruling for modchips seems to once again fallen on deaf ears. According to my obscure translation, the judge felt that Sonys copy protection control had a two fold advantage in not just controlling illegal copies of games but to also allow sony to control the market of particular regions. there are no laws at all in greece btw ...

they might be afraid to persue it in the USA for fear of losing and setting a precedent... better for them to wait for the PS3 so that the modders can't use the region unlocking argument in the court... not that i'm against modchips here...
