    MinimusUSB Coming Out Soon

The boards just keep rolling in. Another compatible PSGroove development board similar to the Teensy or AT90USBKey is being developed called the MinimusUSB. It will be shipping to distributors in the next week or so. According to sources, pricing will be similar to that of a Teensy and AT90USBKey. More info can be found on there website at: http://www.minimususb.com

Although new alternatives are always welcome, another member had something else to say (dev_bdvd):
This device makes no sense at all, the flash is only 12bytes if they are using the shitty AT90USB162. The design is a clone of an open project called Micropendous – which you can find here – http://code.google.com/p/micropendou.../Micropendous2

You would think we would see somethihng of quality by now, with big flash over 32bytes just in case of the future for updates \ a platform for the open improvement of psgroove. The relevant KiCAD design files can be found in the latest Micropendous Distribution or via SVN in the /Micropendous/Design/Micropendous2 directory.

This is not a good device as to start the bootloader, you have to plug in your board and press both the RESET and HWB buttons, then release RESET, then HWB. The buttons get wore down fast and I am sure people don’t want to be stuck with bad timing on some cheap design. When this happens its time to invest in an AVR ISP programmer which is more cost and more learning for new users. Google some reviews of AVR programmers and check this design via micropendousv2 – no one has had a good experience with this device.
Well, in any case, another alternative is always a good thing since most other PCB'S are really low in stock right now.

I thought that you have to do that only when you program the chip (program/flash it ) when it's plugged to the PS3 do we have to do the same process ????

    I'am lost

Ugh, the problem is when I try to Bold the link and Underline it. It breaks the URL. Guess I will have to stop doing that heh heh. Thanks for the heads up, now fixed... again!

Update: lol, I was trying to bold/underline while using the [url] tags. Whoops.

lol the OP seems so baised lol

isnt the AT90USB162 what most dev boards use ???

isnt the 2 button combo what most dev boards use ??? <-- IF NOT then they use a 1 button and cap/diode combo to emulate 2 button presses...

when the 2 buttons fail <-- what a load of crap ?? you need to buy an AVR ISP programmer <-- what ?? wtf?? seriously... short a few wires together gets u into DFU mode if the buttons fail...
