Sometimes, but this site's a lot better than sites like ngu, or maxconsole!!!
Ngu==Bullshit and fake.
Maxconsole==Out of context one line quotes made into full story, and rumours based on no fact whatsoever.
I could go on about other sites, but these are the worst imho.
Edit: Actually i have to include ps3news, kakaroto says something they don't like, his account gets disabled, and anyone who agrees with him gets banned!

I doubt that, why wouldnt they want people to know that they trying to put sony down if it was true that they donated?

But then again they didnt so why even bother discusing this anymore lol

I hadn't even heard this cause I only follow PSX-SCENE but it would be SOO FUNNY if it were true wouldn't it? Sony put 1$ in geohots paypal account if I remember right so I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft did something like that. Although I must say Microsoft stopped giving a shit about winning a long time ago. They just sit back and watch their shitbox 360 outsell everything else.

1: it would be awesome if true
2: most sites state it as a rumor not as a fact
3: maybe Microsoft/ a Microsoft employee did donate a big amount but did it anonymously (even geohot wouldn't know if it came from Microsoft)to not get a worse rep than they already have
4: Microsoft did invite geohot to try and hack windows phone 7
5: Microsoft likes to troll the competition they sued Apple for example for the trademark on the name Appstore not because they want to use it but just to troll Apple

I am not saying it is true I actually don't think Microsoft donated but still it may have been worth the effort to post it as a rumor.

Well, i doubted that this rumour was legit, OT but did you guys know a Ex-Microsoft employee donated $3000 to the open-source kinect hacks?
