I am kind of bummed. I really wanted to get a pre-modified PS2 with either DMS3 or Messiah 2 pre-installed from Divineo US, but they aren't listing them any more. Anyone have any idea if they are going to put them back on or if there is anywhere to get this somewhere.

All Messiah 2 chips have a firmware version sticker on the bottom of the chip/board.

I got a question for Charlie_PS2, is mc_sales actually the Messiah 2 team? I just bought two Messiah 2 USA version, but they sent me a v1.07 and it wouldn't work with my v7 PS2. Do you think they have shipped the wrong one to me? or they are just trying to get rid off their old stock on some poor customer like me?

I just purcahsed a PS2 from my local retailer here in California. they have a sticker that says PCH-9001. however upon opening up the board. it says GH-022. while my other PS2 says GH-019. is this a GH-022 the v8? and does this means USA is also getting the V8 like the aisa and europe?

The US custom version of Messiah 2 was only ever manufactured in v1.07 having been proven to include the v7.

So you do need to describe what the "wouldn't work" problem looks like. The Troubleshooting Guide should be your first resort.

The factory delivers direct to mc_sales to answer that question.

It is only a v8 if the BIOS chip has writing Bxx90; i.e. BIOS 090.

Yeah...if the DMS team would send some samples out to independant people, at least they could show that they have some real comparisons to the Messiah 2.
