Messiah 2 1.31 Samples Arrive

Well PS2NEWZ has recieved samples of the M2 1.31. We are having a hard time coming up with a v9 PS2 to test at the moment. This is the reason why we were sent samples to begin with to test on a v9. Even though I will be installing the chip in a NTSC V1 and a JAPv8 to see whats up. I have to say I am impressed with the compatibilty of the 1.31. Version 1-9 thats awesome! Stay tuned we should have some results this weekend.

Hey, I can get a Japanese 50000 unit if you need one. Remember, one of my customers owns an import game store. He gets import games and systems. The only thing about the Jap 50000 is that it's really expensive. Over $300.

As LOD knows, I have offered to fund a US v9 if he can find one. It's pointless sending a JAP v9 as I've already proved that it works on the 50000MB/NH; also samples have been sent to Japan and China where they will be independently tested (indeed ISDNMAN is one of those).

Why don't the mod creator like DMS and Messiah team test it with their own independent team.

I was wondering how can they test without using the v9 at the first place...

errr if they had their own independent teams then how would they be independent?

I agree with Guichi. I remember the scandal about using a v8 console that was given to LOD by the DMS team, having the DMS mod ripped out and an M2 installed for a review. Charlie argued that the bios on the console was not the correct one which prevents DVDR from booting normally. Charlie quickly changed his mind about the same exact console when LOD removed the DMS and installed an M2 for a review of their 1.30. If they do want a non biased review published on ps2newz, a site mostly very well known and used by mod groups for $$publicity$$ then let them send their own mod and hardware, it's only fair.

In addition, there seems to be some issues at hand with the M2 1.31. A review was posted at neoasic

I've noticed your hostility towards me in recent posts. That BIOS question in the v8 if you go over the posts concerned isn't remotely as you describe it. I've been over this ground when Guichi first made his allegation so there's no need to go over it again. LOD knows all this and some other folk just want to make trouble where there is none.

In my original offer of the v1.31 testers to LOD I quite properly offered to pay for a US v9 if he could find one full knowing and respecting Guichi's view that PS2Newz nor LOD should fund a test machine. Indeed when PS2Newz had the v8 I hadn't the vaguest idea at the time that it belonged to the DMS team.

Incidentally I go out and buy consoles for my support activities on the forums. I'm by no means restricted to Messiah evaluations and support and the fount of knowledge shared with everybody comes from having a wide range of PS2s rigged for modchips so that I know some of what I spout.
