After months of hard work, Evilo has put up a beta version of his LuaPlayer for ps2. Finally ps2 users can enjoy many great lua games and apps right on your ps2. You can get more info and the download at Evilo's blog post.

To awsome, I love programming in lua :cool:, I just wonder if most of the psp lua games are compatible but hey its just a beta :dance:

You've never heard of lua player,(probably cause you dont own a psp) lua itself is a programming language but it is the simplest thing to learn, lua cant compile so we need an interpreter which is the luaplayer.Quote:

Is laura Player as easy as BASIC. Also I read recently about a scumm for psp. Script creation utility for manic mansion that can play retro cool games like sam and max and day of the tentacle, which I still have a PC version opf. This would be awsome if the ps2 had some of the dev that went into the psp.
update: Oh there is a scumm for ps2. Oh yeah and it boots my Day of the tentacle sweet :dance:

2nd Does anyone know how to load it? I load it from ULE from usb and mc and it hangs on the powered by Lua splash screen
i try to load from hdd and it hangs to - i must test from usb and MC now
did you put as well all the files (from the zip), as the player runs by defaut \System\system.lua and then \Application\lowser\index.lua ?
also, you can directly load a games, for i.e. :
luaplayer.elf device:/path/Drmario/index.lua
(if you don't care about the browser)
the second method is anyway much more reliable that the first one for the moment :)
