Ya never know...thing is, why point it out? With all the crap going on with these legal issues with Sony, why mention any names or alias? Search engines pull those kind of things every second of the day. Sony and their lawyers have the same resources that we all have.
...eh, whatever, people don't listen or think nowadays anyway.

I belive sony not ended linux because security issues only. The real reason can be because of emulators on linux, they wanted sell the games on psn and the emulators are on their way.

I've watched many standard resolution animes from h.264 mkv files in ps3linux already. It can also -decode- 1280x720 in real-time with help of threading and a few tweaks, but now that RSX is opened up in Linux for good, it's just a matter of time someone writes RSX output plugin for mplayer and it can also show that 1280x720 without slowing down.
Larger resolutions would need spu optimizations to libavcodec. Making them takes much more effort than a simple textured quad as output plugin, so I am doubtful we could ever watch full hd videos in ps3linux.

To make it easy for new linux users I’ve made a simple script to do everything, including extracting, copying files and folders. The only thing you’ve to do manually is setting up a connection with your PS3 which is relatively very easy and is described in the README with screenshots.
To prove that this isn’t fake

PS: This is for marcan's asbestos.
Please read the README first.
