Also, Sony is not 'losing billions' the injunction is only against europe for now, leaving NA, Japan, Australia, South America for purchase, they're still making their money, Sony is not a 'Game company' they're a Consumer Electronics Company, they make more money off their other branches than they do from their gaming branch.
oh the PSP2(ngp) will probably flop too, not nearly as quickly as the PSP did, hopefully they'll actually support the PSP2 unlike they PSP, and Sony's always going to have an uphill battle in the hand held market, Nintendo OWNS the hand held market, they've been doing it longer than Sony's been MAKING consoles, Nintendo knows what to do and what not to do, Sony is feeling things out.
cant say i hate sony as have 2 ps3`s 4 psp`s, two sony tv`s and a vaio laptop...
but as we say..what goes around comes around..
but a taste of your own medicine is what you deserve.
have to respect LG..as have some of their products too...mobile phones, dvd drives and tv...but you dont see LG kicking up a fuss about their customers using LG products for whatever they want..because by rights once you have paid for it...ITS YOURS.
LG should make a games console..you never know...may put other cosoles to shame..
sony, i love you...but your too greedy and you deserve what your getting
LG, i love you too...keep up the good work..looking forward to the games console..lol
2) Cars and IT technologies are incomparable. Besides, you are USER even of cars. Intelectual property exists even in that industry.
'teach some laws about intellectual property' - what is there to teach about something that is entirely intellectually fraudulent and right along the same category as the DMCA, Patriot Act and all of the other baloney laws and treaties that have been passed these past 10 years?
So yes, I'm still a PS3 'owner' - because I remember some dear concepts from the past known as 'CUSTOMER OWNERSHIP' - you can have corporations tell you you don't own anything all day - just as you can have dictators telling people they don't have any inalienable rights - I will point out the farce behind it and ASSERT MY RIGHTS.
That's an unique character trait that you don't seem to posses - ASSERTING your rights - you need some law or statute to point to what will tell you that you have the 'right' to demand this or that. If you're at this stage, then good luck to ya - and good luck being a 'consumer' for that matter - don't be surprised if companies take advantage of you with a complacent, brokeback attitude like this.
ITT: Internet superheros.
Hence the original Goldstar brand - that was later dropped and reverted to the original initials LG
Yup - full of useless information :)
As for the PS3 being impounded - that's pretty impressive, I would suspect LG have an 'excellent' case for infringement and knowing how 'racist' many Japanese companies are - I would suspect that they tried to ignore LG and fob them off - looks like that strategy worked! Hopefully, their PS3 Jailbreak strategy will be just as effective :D
They knew the average consumer/citizen was not this braindead at least 10 years ago, so they needed incremental training and IP propaganda being taught in schools to get the public to come around to this absurd notion that you BUYING a product does not entail that YOU are the OWNER.
I am NOT buying a service - I am buying a PRODUCT. You can dance around this all you like, but you're trying to elevate total 'nonsense' as if it's established fact. That's how 'propaganda' (that old term for 'marketing') usually works.
As a matter of fact, all the stuff you've repeated here - you've heard from somebody else. These are not even your thoughts or opinions - you're simply repeating what you heard.
Brool story brah, but I ain't buying it. I am an 'OWNER' of said machine, whether you or Sony for that matter like it or not.
Now, please go back to Sony HQ and ask for some more debate points - because this stuff just ain't working out so far.
