Well, the port itself is pretty much a standard rewrite of the Neill's port. Plus some features, like "no IOP reset on boot", so this may take advantage of any previously loaded IRX, sparing me the harness of writing specific support for HDD for example
Well, anyway, the port is mostly complete. There's some small glitches remaining, but bearable. Maybe somebody would fix them when I release the source
What's left to do right now is a proper PAK file selection, and I can release it. I converted SONY's code to PS2Dev, I rewrote GFX and SFX backend to use gsKit and isjpcm, and I added some features, like memory card settings saving, and TV screen position (which was deadly missing in the original code...)
I'm waiting to download it.

Want to see something that's kind of funny. The news about a legal port of BOR for PS2 was posted at http://www.eurasia.nu/modules.php?na...rder=0&thold=0 & here is what they have written about the news:
For those who read the story at psx-scene.com about a legal port, we had Beats of Rage for ps2 in the download section since February 2004. A hint to our friends over at psx-scene.com; the legal issues (if any) with Beats of Rage has always been regarding the ripped SNK Playmore character graphics, not about the SDK used during compile.
The person who posted these news seems to be clueless.
I dont really see the need for them to call us out, what business is it of theirs what someone wants and doesnt want to port if not just to make themselves look l337. who cares, let them release warez. If he wants to keep it up then let it be his problem if he gets busted. If that is really the case then whoever runs that site might as well put up some xbox stuff compiled wit the XDK. Shows the lack of knowledge, immaturity and hypocrisy in the scene these days.
Prooly shows the cluelessness of those people.
I agree. Pixel, I saw you posted at the Eurasia link & the owner posted right after you & he even defended what Neil Corlett did. Here is what Robert (the guy who I think owns/runs Eurasia said (in reference to Pixel):

Beats of Rage is a hell of a game! Played it a lot on xbox lately...
Yep, so it seems like he supports what Neill Corlett did.
Had to censor his page from the forums, not just because of his BOR download or the BOR situation, im sure alot of people would think that but his site is filled with other kinds of warez.
About his comment, Sony more than likely has no idea aout Neil's port of BOR using the sony SDK. If they did they wouldnt take it sitting down.
