Latest Matrix Infinity Firmware cracked?

Forum member tot31 posts word that an obscure asian console site is selling modbo ( called modbo 2.0) and what they simply call matrix infinity 1.54 mods. It may seem that these asian ripoff groups have finally managed to get around the protections added to the matrix infinity firmware. However, there is no official word on if these mods do indeed have the latest firmware or if this is just some sort of lame hoax by the company.

thats not really the point. Its still a fully functional chip and its still stealing from the infinity team.

About price for this two clone expensive or not?And what about DEV2 mode?

I don't think it is fully functional as they can't read/dump the secure actel data from the original matrix infinity. These chips are most likely created using a logic analyzer to collect data fragments from the dvd controller with the original chip installed which eventually could be compiled into a working code, but still not same code as the original, rather acting as the original. This also explains why these chips can't be updated and why they need one chip for each FW version.

I guess this is the way most modchip teams learn (or steal) from each other (depending on how you wish to look at it). The very same methods used when the ps2 itself is analyzed to create any modchip from scratch.

Ofcourse it's bad, but wot use is it to actually 'buy firmware' ?

I mean, ur pretty dumb if u buy this, in a few weeks they will have an upgrade ( HDD Enabled Manager and *maybe* DNA bypass).and ur stuck with a chip that well..DOES..work, but if u want a cheap mod that just plays backups, there are loads of them.

I heard all they have 'fixed' is by disabling writing to the eeprom. Meaning you can access the setup menu but can't save to the eeprom and therefore not killing the clone. But since most of the newer firmware opions are off by default you can't enable them and save those settings :P So I guess you have 1.54 firmware but can turn on any of the 1.54 features :lol: Lameass cloners, I love my real MI.

Yes i already know that. I posted almost the same exact response when the original APE/NH9, Modbo and all the other MI clones came out.
