Konami says PS2-to-Blu-ray releases an "exciting opportunity" –

So the news is out. Sony will be releasing a special Blu-ray edition of God of War 1 and 2. Now that the gates have been pushed open by that berserk albino Kratos, will we be seeing more PS2 games released on Blu-ray in the future?
Nothing is definite yet, but it seems that publishers are starting to think about getting on the PS2-to-Blu-ray wagon. Gaming website Kotaku recently talked to a Konami rep about it, and while the rep didn't confirm anything, he did have some encouraging words:
We are constantly exploring unique ways to expose players to some of our legacy titles such as Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill. Re-releasing games on Blu-ray presents an exciting opportunity for a publisher, however we have no announcements at this time.
Definitely exciting, I'd say. It's a chance to further capitalize on old games that already have sizable fanbases. Slap a few coats of polish onto it and make it playable on a high-def machine and you've got yourself a rather easy way to make money.
Capcom is also starting to do some "temperature readings" on what gamers would possibly like to see if they ever -- not saying that they will, just "if" -- do rerelease some of their PS2 titles. Capcom's Christian Svensson had this to say on the company's forums:
I don't want anyone reading this the wrong way (as I'm not saying anything like this could happen) but I'm seeing some interested for DMC to get this treatment. Are there other titles you'd like see go this way? I'm looking for some temperature readings.
The one who started the whole thing rolling, Sony, has so far declined to make any announcements yet about possible follow-ups. "We're always looking at new ways of getting content on PS3", Sony's Patrick Seybold told Kotaku, "but as of now, [God of War] is the only one planned."
Square Enix has also chosen not to comment about it at this time.
Hmm what does this mean to you guys?
personally i think everyones gonna get ff7 for the ps3 but not the way we want it
Or perhaps a ff colection containing every ff so far lolz.
