The latest (and probably final) version of Independence Compiler has been released - version 4.0 Independence Compiler is a utility to assist people with making the independence exploit to put on their memory card. Updates in this version...

-Checks for updates automatically
-Tabbed Interface, for ease of use
-Added alot more documentation
-Will export title.db standalone
-Will export files like 2.2 used to (without changing it to iso or xps)
-Ouputs in .BIN, and XPS for savebuilder.
-Allows you to add your own files in.
-No Elf files included.
-Added Bootable CD Feature (where instead of booting the exploit installer, it boots the loader so you can use the apps
on the cd without installing them. If you need to install them run the EXPINST.ELF file included on the disc!
-Allows selection of network support or not.
-Outputs IPCONFIG.DAT AND CONFIG.DAT (for execftp)
-Now selects correct screen mode depending on region in system.cnf
-Supports multiple title id codes.

BUG FOUND: When you export a title.db through the standalone exporter in independence compiler 4.0 to a root drive, you will get an error and it'll crash. That is fixed in the update, as well as a couple of other minor tweaks.

Also if you download the new version, in future updates the application will tell you the reason for the update!

It turns out it wasn't so perfect! My three chief advisors (dmcbudman, carlos and maldogg) have advised me that I in fact DIDN'T fix the title.db bug in all cases, and it still sparatically occurs.

I have no released 4.1-titlefix which DOES fix this bug for good! So download the new version (using the same old link to my website)

You can recognise the new version with (titledb) in the titlebar.
