Same. You can force it to eject like that by nearly breaking the PSP, but someone who abuses a handheld like that in average gameplay should be shot anyways. if you bend a DS the same way with so much force you'll likely have 2 seperate units. If you watch the movie closely you can see how the case is twisted, and since the PSP is a very sturdy unit, it takes a hell of a lot of force to twist it like that.
The UMD ejecting is NOT an issue.
As for the square button, on my PSP all buttons are equally good.
no probs whatsoever.
i'd buy a 1 year warrenty and bring it to the store for a new one.. =P that way you can still be cool with a PSP and be smart by returning your PSP for a fixed one.
Arakon just because your psp doesnt have issues with the Square button or umd ejecting doesnt meen that its not an issue. Yours is just one of thousands if not millions of psps around. You cant dismiss a problem just because your specific system doesnt suffer from the symptoms. If you look at the gif frame per frame (As you said) you can clearly see he isnt applying any incredible force to the psp.
However, I think I am not going to return it: The display has 0 dead (sub)pixels =)
My first one was defective and wouldn't even switch on due to a bad firmware. (The power on, no XMB or sound problem) I got another one now though and must say the UMD ejecting problem does not exist unless you try to break it however the casing for the UMD slot is the same used on their MD players and therefore poor quality. The positioning of the latch also makes it stick out further on the left side of the UMD slot.

Another buggy device from Sony corp not suprized i sure hope the playstation 3 is made better then the 1st batch of ps2s and the 1st batch of ps2 twos also the 1st batch of psp but i highly doubt that sony corp will slack on ps3 as they did ps2 due to them knowing Microsoft is up on their ass this time so hoply that pressure of being #2 in stead of #1 will get their ass in gear..
Doubtful, after all any publicity is good puclicity. Why do you think that update was released? mistake? ;-)

Which makes me wonder about that animation we see everywhere.... except if the guy removed a screw or two to "loosen" it.
And the Square button problem is real, but then again, not that important.
Because the button itself is so close to the screen that if you push it right in the middle, you will most likely touch the screen with your thumb and do what you will want to avoid most once you get a PSP : put fingertips on the screen.
As you will intuitively press it just a bit more on its right edge to keep the screen clean, you will also avoid the button non-responsiveness problem.
Two birds/one stone, bravo Sony
Sony has a marketing strategy that many people fall for.
First, their first batch of units are made with flaws so that customers will either have to send it to them to get it fixed, or make them buy a new one.
Another thing is they usually make only a short supply of the unit to make people try and pre-order is immediately. If only people knew what Sony was really like :\
yeah maybe someone will release a bug fix... =) im curious about the psp tho.. can you do wireless web surfing on it? if so that would be a plus on my book because i've never experience good wireless internet other than my pda.
