comsoft has released the hex code for the V12 fix that he's been working on with albert35.

Here are the details on the pic code from the hex

    2. starts to see if mechanics is active, after 0.5 seconds of inactivity (1.5 total) it's disable the current flow to the lens by muting the RS2400FS.
    3. continue testing the mechanics interrupt line, if mechanics active it reanable the current flow to the lens and jump to the "watchdog" loop. if mechanics still not working (INT IS LOW) for another 1.5 sec, the
    PIC shutdown the pstwo.
You can snag the Hex here and more info on this fix can be found here and here.

Thanks to Loy for the headsup.

well, it seems like it would be better than the matrix fix if it does work. it makes sure the chip don't lock up on boot, and if it does it shuts down ASAP, but what happens if it locks up while the PStwo is running?

I thought people said it never locks up while it's running? Just when it's booting up? Not sure though.

the :watchdog loop" is the part of the fix that's like the matrrix fix, which catches crashes after boot.

But this new pic ALSO catches crashes on boot, which matrix pic fix doesn't always stop.
