I wonder why so many people keep making the same utility again and again?? Plus this won't help unless you are on 3.55CFW or 3.41 so we are pretty screwed for now until 3.56 is cracked..
will this work for gta iv bcz in some other updates tool never works on gta it just loads
If you could read, he didn't say anything about updating HIS PS3. He's saying that we as a community are screwed until somebody releases a custom 3.56. Thus, you are the noob for failing to read.
Anyway, seems like this is a more comprehensive program. Showing the icon art is a nice touch. I'll give this a try once I have a need for an update again. (Everything I've got is updated thus far. ^_^)
When I created PS3 Game Updater (The other software mentioned here), I was doing it to help myself, because I couldn't remember all of my games Game ID, to use with Awesome Update Finder. When I released the first version, I was amazed to see how many people are in the same boat as I was, and lots of them asked for ftp support and csv export. From there on, I added the features for the people who asked them, not for me.
Regardless, you'll find out some applications offer different features than others, and bottom line - they ARE very useful.
Thanks for the awesome software, works nice, and I love the game artwork that comes up when you select one. One thing I'd like to comment on though...
As far as I understand, game updates are NOT cumulative. For example, MODNATION KARTZ has 6 updates, but your program only seems to identify the most recent one. I believe this program should be updated to generate a downloadable list of ALL the updates for each particular game, not just the most recent.
This was the case for the last program similar in nature recently posted here on this awesome website.
Anyways, that having been said, nice program, runs cleanly and you have features that make this program stand out above and beyond other offerings as this program has spit'n polish.
You just need to tweak this one to include ALL updates for those games found in the collection of games it's pointing to.
Thanks.
SATMASTER: Very thorough remarks and critique! Awesome!
I'd also like to note that when you open the file from this link there are two of the same exe bundled in it. One within a folder and one in the root of the compressed file. Also when you open either of the applications (doesn't matter since they are the same) and go to the '?' in the menu, choose 'about' and you will notice the application says it's version 1.0.0.2 not 1.0.0.3, I don't know whether it wasn't meant to be 1.0.0.3 but that's what the file says and the topic here states.
PS: Thank you for the application! Checking it out as I write this statement. Looking forward to seeing if you implement SATMASTER's recommendation.
