A new version of the patching app for HDLoader has been released.

WARNING - Many advanced new features have been added. If you do not know what you are doing, do not use this app. There is the possibility of losing all data stored on your HDD. Don't say we didn't warn you.

    Download and details available inside.

For further information and discussion, go to the PS2 HDD Forum.

Thanks to Zer0-X, crazyc, and everyone else who helped to create these patches.

Remember... PS2-Scene is where this all began.

    Update R9f:

    added Zer0-X beta DMA-selector patch
    internal fixes

Use HDLoader that is atleast patched for 48bit with HDLPatch 0.7c (some of the additional patches in the unofficial HDLPatch would currently become overwritten/broken, because this is just a beta).

DANGER: WHILE IN THE MDMA-MODE, DO NOT CHANGE ANY OPTIONS (IF YOU HAPPEN TO PRESS SELECT TO ENTER THE OPTIONS MENU, RESET!), INSTALL, REMOVE OR RENAME ANYTHING OR YOU COULD CORRUPT YOUR HDD!!! AND DO NOT USE THIS IF YOU CAN'T BE SURE OF WHAT YOUR HANDS ARE DOING WHEN LEFT UNATTENDED!!!

And now for the modes. Hold a button while starting HDLoader and when you hear the harddisk spinning up you can release the button. The mode is shown in the top right corner of the screen (the default UDMA-4 is in action if no mode is shown). The mode is selected by holding the following buttons when HDLoader starts up (see the pattern?):

    MDMA0 - UP
    MDMA1 - TRIANGE
    MDMA2 - LEFT
    UDMA0 - RIGHT
    UDMA1 - SQUARE
    UDMA2 - CIRCLE
    UDMA3 - DOWN
    Update R9e:

added the ToxicOS v0.2 Core patch by Zer0-X (and i think crazyc). this was added for persons wanting to play splinter cell: pandora tomorrow which (i think) is not playable without this patch.

this is a bit oldschool patch, (thanks Zer0-X for the source), but unless i'm mistaken this patch is still needed for the splinter cell: pandora tomorrow game. if i'm wrong or this particular patch is useless, then please let me know.
    Update R9d:

revised the gui by getting rid of the skinned look. all functions are now accessible at the bottom of the form. you must also check a box designating either an unpacked or original hdl file as your chosen source file. also got rid of any help forms that simply contained the original hdl patch help files. these files are now included as is. really no need to add a gui around text files

added the HDD anti-spindown patch by crazyc

now has the ability to use an Original Retail HDL v1.0 file for any option you would use an Unpacked HDL file. In other words, there is no longer any 'unpacked only' functions. in case adding the v1.0 above causes any confusion... this means THE original HDL ELF released. there still is no support for any retail versions of HDL or HDA beyond the true original.
