HDD Explorer released!!!

So now we can save homebrew software to the HDD, could the next step be actual games?

Remember only things that have support for the hdd can be installed to it or else they will still look to the medium they were coded for to load modules/config/data. and not work.

Games will never "just work" from the HDD, they would either need to be coded to support running from the HDD or someone would have to work some kind of daemon-tools like voodoo for the PS2 which would be *VERY* hard if not impossible so don't hold your breath

How do you connect a normal 40GB hardisk to your playstation 2?

Does the PS2 have the same 137gb HD limit that the XBox used to have?

I do not see why the partitioning system(APA) and filesytem(PFS) can work with 2TB... and the atad driver works in LBA mode so i think will be ok too :) .... but i have only tested myself a 40G sony hdd and 120G non-sony...

EDIT: aerick tested a 200gb hdd today and show up as 137gb :(

In other words, wait and see. Now you know why we have been so excited about the DMS3. :P

I couldve swore I heard the messiah lovers swear DMS3 couldnt add HDD support with a flash?!?!?!
