We here at PSX-SCENE.com Would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!

Here are some fun facts about Turkey Day!

The traditional cornucopia was a curved goat's horn filled to brim with fruits and grains. According to Greek legend, Amalthea (a goat) broke one of her horns and offered it to Greek God Zeus as a sign of reverence. As a sign of gratitude, Zeus later set the goat's image in the sky also known as constellation Capricorn. Cornucopia is the most common symbol of a harvest festival. A Horn shaped container, it is filled with abundance of the Earth's harvest. It is also known as the 'horn of plenty’.
It was not until 1941, that congress declared Thanksgiving as a national holiday. It was declared to be the fourth Thursday in November.
91% of Americans eat turkey on Thanksgiving Day.
Thomas Jefferson thought the concept of Thanksgiving was "the most ridiculous idea I’ve ever heard."
Benjamin Franklin wanted the national bird to be a turkey.
The different nicknames for Thanksgiving Day: “Turkey Day” (after the traditional Thanksgiving dinner), “T-Day” (an abbreviation of either “Thanksgiving Day” or “Turkey Day”), “Macy’s Day (this is exclusive to New York City – it is a reference to the Macy’s Day Parade), “Yanksgiving” (Canadians sometimes call the Thanksgiving in the US as “Yanksgiving” to distinguish it from the Canadian Thanksgiving holiday.)
So From our Family To Yours have a Safe and Happy Turkey Day!

Whilst we don't celebrate it in the UK, I'd just like to say Happy Thanksgiving to all the members across the pond.

    Cheers,
    JonahUK.

Happy Gobble Gobble day, already celebrated in Canada, but happy Gobbles to everyone anyways!

I don't know how anyone here takes to poetry, but here's a little thanksgiving song I wrote on Canadian thanksgiving.

    Selfish thoughts surround us all
We take what we have for granted
Life will often make us feel small
But we should be thankful for what we have

Things don't always go as planned
And often we'll look down at life
Sometimes we all need a helping hand
And for the hand we should be thankful
    Be thankful!

    And as we gather around
    We should be thankful for
    All that surrounds
    And for much much more
    We're here for eachother
    And that's worth a lot
    And I know we'd prefer
Life with all that we've got

Life can throw a lot at us
    But that doesn't always matter
None of it is worth the fuss
Because we should be thankful for what we have

We all have a few good friends
The one's who we should cherish
Some of these friendships come to an end
But for the one's that don't, we should be thankful
    Be Thankful!

    And as we gather around
    We should be thankful for
    All that surrounds
    And for much much more
    We're here for eachother
    And that's worth a lot
    And I know we'd prefer
Life with all that we've got

Bonus fact: The reason Turkey birds are called Turkey is because they reached England via Turkey in the middle ages. Guess what Turkey birds are called in Turkish? Hindi. Can you guess why?
