At this point, it should be something built on DLNA, since most of us already have DLNA services set up. It could, of course, look and feel like XBMC. That would be nice. Sony's XMB implementation has always left much to be desired. They release that stupid PHOTO app that nobody cares about, but not an enhanced media player? I guess that's the way of the Japanese though... thinking of photography first.

Where can I post results? I can compile it and it boots But I still only see 108MB RAM.
Also if I enable ps3flash driver the compilation fails.

OK so we have Linux back i see, am i right though? a bit thick but who cares... if Linux has been achievable then what are the possibilities, again thick questions but needed to ask, oh and Graf you DA man..

was there ever 100% legit proof that he got raided? like proof that only a moron would try to point out as fake. i mean i havent said anything but anyone whos was told to stop work or get sued a million......anyone with a brain would stop lol. thought maybe this was a way for him to get everyones attention on him even though his work is great.

nice to see graf still developing programs for ps3 even if sony doesnt want to.
im hoping to see ubuntu with full 3d capabilities in the future, then we can live in our happy little linux world full of homebrews and free programs galore on cheap old ps3.

my two cents...
i think the reason people want linux on ps3 is because the ps3 OS sucks so much with stupid internet browser, limited media playing capabilities etc. if sony had created proper softwares for ps3, less people would be hacking it ex. pc like browser with plugin to support add-ons like flash etc
---all media format support
---better social and audio/video/chat communication programs
---support for indie programs (apple has lots of em on itunes)
its like sony is limiting and trying to kill their own ps3 brand/console.
hey sony dont waste the ps3 power, let the indie devs make useful programs for it. and also put your effort in creating better secured ps4 and ngp rather than wasting resources violating human rights. maybe sony should ask for ken kutaragi's help, he seems to be the only person that thinks properly and innovates with the technology. removing features such as backwards compatibility and linux are sony's most stupid decisions (i wonder how those get pass the sony board of directors).
