I believe most people are here to hack the ps3 and not pirate games. Pirating games comes as a bonus. What most of us want here is to make the ps3 theirs and not Sony's.

I assure you 95%+ of people here just want to pirate games and anything else is a bonus. Not everyone is like you.

For example, lets assume that there was and never will be a way to run pirated games on a PS3....Bang....there goes virtually anyone on this site.

Not everyone is like you and it's abit weird you'd think they are. People talk nonsense on here about not playing games they don't own and all that rubbish. But still, what MOST people want is to play free games. If you have two ps3's good for you.

PSX Scene should open a donation fund for stuff like this, we know our money is safe going to a 3rd party thats legitimate, if we had this and counters to see what the donations came to I'm sure it would make the devs complete their projects much quicker knowing a bonus will come should they meet their goal.

I.e. this for chokolo's SX28 board.

I'm not 100% sure on this but I believe that after you code any type of application for the PS3 you use the PS3 SDK which then puts it into a .self and eboot.bin. So basically we are now able to revert back into the actual source code. So basically we can see exactly how Sony and friends code games all the way down to HELLO WORLD! As if we owned the source code on our machines. At least that is what I believe they are talking about. If I'm wrong I apologize. So instead of seeing stuff from a hex editor side we can actually see stuff completely in C++ or whatever.

Take for instance fbanext-ps3.ppu.self That is the compiled version of the FBA homebrew source code after you run "Make". So basically with this code we can now go back to before Sony ran "Make".

Not even close...it decrypts it so the content is readable in ASSEMBLY...you can not convert machine code back into C or any programming language. Once it is in machine code it must be modified using ASM
